Blogtober 2018: A Challenge...

Welcome to Blogtober

It’s the first day of October, and I’m very excited to share a challenge I am embarking on: Blogtober. This is basically a 31-day challenge to put out a new blog post every single day… here’s hoping I can make it happen! By pushing myself to write, photograph and be creative this much, I’m really hoping I can put content out there that is both valuable and meaningful.

I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.

Bloggers, are you up to the challenge?

The only rule of Blogtober is that you put something out there every day. No other guidelines, just as long as you keep creating. If you’re a new(ish) blogger like me, I encourage you to give it a try… the worst that can happen is that you don’t put something new out there every day! You’ll still have made lots of blog posts

I want to take this month to explore different ways to create. So, I’m going to start out with a list of things I’m looking forward to in October 2018…

What I’m looking forward to this October

  • Pumpkins, pumpkins, everywhere!

  • Everybody tries out baking. It’s awesome.

  • Cozy evenings wrapped up in blankets.

  • Chilly winds outside.

  • Kenneth’s birthday + my birthday!

  • A nice trip upstate to celebrate a very special day.

  • Seeing my friends in their Halloween costumes.

  • My best friend coming to visit Brooklyn!

  • Rainy, cloudy days–– I’m a lot more productive.

  • An entire month of blogging to challenge myself creatively.

The beauty of October

October has always been a special month for me… and not in an ‘I love autumn more than you’ way (note: if you haven’t watched it, necessary viewing below). This month has had a tendency to bring lots of change into my life, in both positive and negative ways. As each year passes, it’s felt like the peak of that year before all attention becomes focused on the holiday season. I have very high hopes for this year–– things seem to be lining up right into a pleasant place.

What has you excited this month? Are you dressing up for Halloween? Let me know in the comments!
