I had the Rice Krispies, I had the craving, but I didn’t have the marshmallows. What was I going to do… leave the house on a cold, rainy afternoon? So, I did an experiment that resulted in a shockingly delicious treat: no-marshmallow Rice Krispie treats. There are a few more ingredients than a traditional Rice Krispie treat, but who doesn’t like a little challenge?
The chocolate is completely optional in this recipe–– I added it because in case you can’t tell, I love chocolate. This only creates a small batch, but if you double the recipe you’ll have double the delectables. The best part about these no-marshmallow Rice Krispie treats? They take five minutes to make… and less than five to eat. It took every bit of strength in me to save some for Kenneth to try!
